Personal Book of Remembrance

Centuries ago, the people of the world were driven to a disastrous war by greed and petty feuds.  Untold millions suffered needlessly in the War to End All.  The calamitous fighting shattered nations, tearing apart families and left an uncountable dead upon the Battlefield. Jesus Christ, the Unknown Saviour, hidden amongst the common soldiers, was slain - completely unknown and unnoticed. As he bled, the Holy Ghost dispersed among the people; rallying the spirits of all nations. Together, they gathered, to lead themselves from the ashes of war. Now, by the grace of the Spirit within them all, they are never to forget the sacrifice of the Martyrs and the Unknown Saviour.

Modeled after the famous Books of Remembrance hell by the Grand Commander of the Legion of the Faithful, this booklet allows a family to keep the names of their ancestors close at hand at all times.  Traveling merchants often carry a few of these sheets - easy to transport and cheap enough to be accessible to most people.  When sold, they have the ornamentation and a few simple prayers.  They are then taken to the local Chaplain who can add in the names of that individual's family who appear in the Books of Remembrance.  Included here is both a blank copy and a version filled in for the McNeil family.
